San Francisco Bay Area graphic design firm, Project6 Design, has been awarded four 2014 Horizon Interactive awards.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers from all over the world. In its 13th year, the 2014 competition saw over 1200 entries from around the world including nearly all 50 States and 27 countries. The mission of the Horizon Awards is to honor the most talented developers of interactive media.
The mission of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health is to elevate the priority of children’s health care through leadership and direct investment. This Foundation’s new giving website helps inspire donors and compels them to support the health and development of children. The Lucile Packard Foundation required a redesign that would encourage users to take action. The old site failed to engage visitors and overwhelmed them with by complicated donation options, instructions, and features. Project6 was also tasked with maintaining visual consistency with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in both branding and palette, while achieving a fresh look, and rewrapping dozens of donation pages. Project6 simplified and layered site messaging to help users quickly understand the Foundation’s goals, read more, or take action. The new, responsive site both inspires donors and compels them to act. It conveys the credibility and prestige of their partners at Stanford, allows users to take action quickly and easily on desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms, and gives them a seamless experience across both Drupal and Convio. The new Drupal content management system offers the Lucile Packard Foundation the flexibility to easily manage their content and feature engaging seasonal updates. The clean new layout, upgraded CMS, and refined donation pages result in a positive user experience for donors and the broader community.
The Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation was established by Intel founder Gordon Moore and wife Betty to bring international awareness to worthy causes, collaborate with problem solvers, and foster lasting change - powerful themes that their previous website failed to communicate. The original site was built to an 800 pixel browser width, and lacked the personality that would inspire visitors to action. Project6 overhauled the site by creating a homepage rich with imagery and insights. The new design welcomed visitors to explore a megamenu that made detailed navigation simple to use, while a Sitefinity content management system allowed the Moore Foundation complete control of their content. The result was a fully responsive site that illuminated people and empowered change by telling story of those seeking to solve greater problems.
Trihydro Corporation is a leading provider of environmental engineering services. Based in Laramie, Wyoming, this organization has grown to tackle challenges on a worldwide scale, but their previous site didn’t convey their position as innovative leaders in environmental engineering. Project6 embraced the challenge by selecting the Sitefinity CMS for its ability to leverage a robust amount of content and media across a responsive website. In restructuring the site architecture, the website now promotes equal attention to each of Trihydro’s services and markets and giving any prospective clients a streamlined path to identify the sectors and that interest them most. By using a new parallax design, captivating images of real Trihydro employees in the field and intuitive navigational aids, the result is a unique user experience. Combined with custom imagery and a modern, open feel, the new Trihydro site reflects their position as a global firm without losing the sense of their commitment to clients or their company culture.
